Day 30: Whatever you’d like!
Doctor Who is basically a show about a madman with a box but it also have the larger set of great female characters I’ve ever seen, from both Old and New Series.
From Sarah Jane, Rose, Martha, Donna, Amy and River to the minor characters such as Jackie, Reinette, Astrid, Jenny, Sally and so on, every single woman in the series is written with a distinct, strong and believable personality that we can’t actually find in more realistic non-scifi shows today.
Maybe this is a legacy of the pioneers Verity Lambert, founding producer of the Old Who series, and Delia Derbyshire, creator of the Doctor Who theme song…
