Im not sure I understand M’s reality. But then I come from a place where camping is part of growing up and part of our cultural identity. I forget that its not like that for everyone. Not even everyone here :D
I think a persons perceptions of camping is COMPLETELY based on your parents/childhood experiences. My dad grew up doing a lot of camping/roughing it, so when I was little he used to take me to the desert to camp. I loved it, I loved the stars, the fossils, the animals, so I loved camping. But if you never camp when you are little, or never have fun camping, I don’t think there is much to like. I mean, we live such a pampered existence who would want to give that up to pee in a bush and get bug bites? So I can understand where you are coming from, I think that in order to like camping, someone has to show you what there is to gain from roughing it. Where did you camp as a kid? Thanks for the reply =)
